| 9 months and 8 days... who can beat me? i could have had a kid in that amount of time and noone would've known...wait.
so what am i posting now for?...a chapter of my life has ended. one
that prob ended for most like 10 years ago. my braces are finally off!!
I wouldnt have believed them 2 1/2 years ago if they had told me it
would take this long to get them off. Come to think of it, I think Im
the only one so far whos seen them off, minus the orthodontist. Guess
thats what living by yourself for a week does.
Anyone else still wearing a retainer? seems pretty useless if you ask me.

| If you havn't figured it out already... my posts are sporadic and unpredictable. Much has happened since the last time I updated. Right now Im enjoying reading week. I think every week should be reading week, or at least every other. If I was still in high school and had 'March Break', it would be a different story. March is only one month out of the year, and to 'break' it, its gotta be in the middle somewhere. But I mean, Im forced to read every week as it is anyway, why not give us time off to do it. If only people thought that way...
I went down to Ladore a couple weekends ago, which was a great weekend! Uncle Dev Ramcharan is a great speaker! One thing still puzzles me however. I have known uncle dev for a good part of my life, and have always called him uncle dev. However, at Ladore, he was repeatedly and intentionally called uncle "Dave". I have yet to figure out why this is. Does he have a stage name perhaps? Like in different countries he is referred to differently? Anyone shedding light on this would be appreciated.
I dont have too many plans for this week. Im hopefully going to Detroit on the weekend. Their cyc ski trip is going on. I havnt been skiing in wayy too long. Maybe Ill go on Thursday too. That would be cool. Other then that Im working, and trying to catch up on some school work.
If you have made it this far, I think now is a good time for a plug.
HAMILTON VOLLEYBALL CHALLENGE on Mar. 4!
Bro. Ted Hodge Jr. is the speaker, and his subject is faith. So..everyone come out to that!
| A new record, I might say, since I last left you. unfortunately i havnt
reached the 3 month barrier yet. Not sure why I decided to return
now...the only explanation I can come up with is.. to emerge from
the depths of what some might call 'engineering'. I'm not exactly
emerging either...I still have a week and a half of exams to go. Ive
got 2 down and 5 to go. Freedom is within my grasp, I can already taste
it.
I cant think of anything else to write about right
now, I think my mind has gone. Maybe I'll return with great tales of
adventure from the last few months, then again, maybe I wont. Until
then....

| I don't know what motivated me to post an entry...hmm....nope, no idea.
So my life has been quite different as of lately. The summers over with, and I've started my first year at university. It's def. quite a change from what I'm used to. I'm at Mcmaster University in the Engineering field. The workload is ridiculous and the whole layout takes some getting used to. Im sitting here looking at my books for this year, thinking of the homework that I should be doing right now. My stack of books is literally, at least 2 feet tall. But enough complaining about school, cause its gonna be great!.....yah.......
I figured out who my physics prof. reminds me of. He looks just like Milton from Office Space. He even kind of talks like him to. He never finishes a whole thought, keeps pausing repeatedly and looking around. All he needs is some bigger glasses and he'd be all set. The fact that he's a doctor and teaches physics is beside the point.
So Sam's finally moved up here and gotten settled in I believe. He's been living with me for about a week, and going to the same school, so thats pretty cool. Just tonight we helped him move into his new place. This past weekend I was down in Detroit, had quite a good weekend. I went to their corn roast on Saturday at the Randall's. Its quite the amazing place. More visits to Detroit could be in the works.
No idea when I'll get around to posting again. The schedule is quite crazy. Take care.
| I love wireless internet. I'm sitting in Maine right now, away from
most modern conveniences. And yet. I am somehow on the internet. I'm
sitting outside of my grandparents house on there deck getting eaten
alive by mosquitoes because that is the only place where I can get a
connection from some neighbour that has wireless. I'm also listening to
some neighbour off in the distance shooting off firecrackers and
looking up at the stars. Its great! Earlier this evening I witnessed
something that youd have to be here to believe. I've been to a few
contests in my day, writing contests, lip synching contests, bubble
blowing contests, but none of them quite measured up to this. It was a
loon calling contest. Where dozens of contestants display there loon
calling abilities while they are judged by a panel of judges from
Nantucket. This was no shabby contest either. There were 3 different
age categories, from about 3 to about 90, with trophies and ribbons for
the first 3 in each age group. My favourite contestant had to be the
reigning champion from last year. A 90 year old man with white hair and
big water boots who proved his ability yet again. I think nearly the
whole town must have shown up to watch the show. I love small towns! I
better leave before I get hit with firecrackers, or my battery dies..
either or.
